Reeds draw the fragrance oil up from the bottle and release it into the room. When the scent from your diffuser starts to fade, or when you start a new bottle or a new fragrance, a fresh set of reeds brings the fragrance back.
We sell two sets of black fibre reeds. Our standard reeds come in a set of seven, 3 mm thick and 250 mm long, made for our 100 ml reed diffusers; they are not for our 800 ml large diffuser. Our extra-long reeds come in a set of six, 4 mm thick and 400 mm long, made for the 800 ml large reed diffuser, where we suggest new reeds every 3 to 4 months.
To change your reeds, take the old ones out and dispose of them, then place the new reeds in the bottle. After about an hour, turn them so both ends are soaked. From then on, turn the reeds once a week in a 100 ml diffuser and once a month in the 800 ml.
You can use fewer reeds for a softer fragrance that lasts longer, or all of them for a stronger scent. Take care when turning the reeds, as the oil can mark surfaces.
