Gingerbread is our Christmas baking fragrance. A bright little note of anise comes first, then homemade gingerbread and cinnamon, and finally a sweet base of maple syrup, caramel, cookie and vanilla. It's the smell of the kitchen in December, with biscuits cooling on the side.
The gingerbread candle is delicately hand-poured in Dorset and cured for no less than two weeks, in two sizes: the small, with one wick and about 35 hours of burning, or the large, with three wicks and about 60 hours. Give it about three hours on its first light so the wax melts right to the edge. The wax melt snap bar breaks into five segments, about 20 hours of fragrance in all, for a tea-light or electric burner. The 100 ml room mist brings Christmas into the hallway in a moment.
A Gingerbread candle in our gift box makes an easy Christmas present, and a wax melt or room mist fits neatly in a stocking. For more spice try Winter; for something fresher, Eucalyptus & Pine.
